Last week we went to the Cat's Pyjamas for a visit we got buddied up and interviewed our buddies we have spent hours making something for our little buddies. We will visit again and give the gift to them next week when we visit.Max😃 Last week we went to Cats pyjamas and asked their kids some questions on what they liked. We took the sheet with their answers on it so we had some ideas for next week, like cards, puzzles, pictures and posters.Mackenzie😃 HB7 and HB8 have been continuing our art. We have been making wrapping paper. We went to Cat's Pyjamas to meet some pre-school children. We asked our buddies questions, read stories and played games to get to know them. We will visit again in week 11 to give them something we have made. We are learning to help others and 'pay it forward' in our community. Today is Miss Faith's last day with us. Miss Faith has been a great teacher and has taught us some really cool maths. She has been doing wonderful art with us. We will miss you Miss Faith :) Support staff day On Wednesday it was support staff day. We made special cards for everyone who helps with our learning in in HB7 and Hbfive 8. In maths we have been learning about fractions. It is really fun, sometimes we play some fraction fun games with Miss Faith. Here is a photo. The spca came to visit us. They taught us about hurt animals that are lost on streets. We have been learning to write instructions. So far we have made lolly cake and a paper plane. Today the SPCA visited Clearview Primary. They talked about how they help animals and people in our community. We learnt the five most important things to look after an animal. These are: food and water, shelter, exercise, love and vet care. PE was really fun this week. We work with different teachers during PE time. It's good having 6 teachers! We were developing our intercepting skills, it was fun. On Tuesday we had a real police office come to talk to us. She talked to us about all the jobs Police Officers do. We were lucky to hear the sirens of the police car and to look at some police equipment like batons, hand cuffs and pepper spray. This morning Ronald MacDonald came to Clearview to talk about road safety. He had a story that Miss Sutherland read out. He was really funny. The three things you need to remember to be safe is to STOP, LOOK and LISTEN! |
